Jeff Mueller uses appropriated text and images to produce visual conversations in a
variety of media. The text is fabricated from copper that is then cut and powder coated
before it is affixed to walls which hold selected images that had been recreated as
videos or photographs. These images interact with the text and their dialogue veers
from the humorous to the poignant to the absurd. The pictured figures, bridges,
airplanes and silhouettes guide and direct our interpretation of the language fragments,
but not to any easily digested conclusion.
