A group show of small works by gallery artists including Laura Ball, Jane Callister, Melissa Dean, Laurie Hogin, Grant Miller, Jeff Mueller, Stas Orlovski, Casey Jex Smith, and Caleb Weintraub.
Scale influences the perception of visual language, and the work in this show reflects these shifts in pictorial devices: barely perceptible surface irregularities, deft mark-making, tight mechanical patterns, et al. There is a forced intimacy between the viewer and the work, -- in order to see details and read the work properly, the viewer needs to enter the space occupied by the work, establishing a personal and private dialogue.
