"My work is based on memories of real and imagined landscapes that emphasize physical, emotional, and cultural interactions in space. I am interested in mapping out the subtleties and quirkiness of the landscape, comprised of natural and man-made architecture, which we tend to overlook. My ‘physical drawings’ are made from diverse materials such as wire, wood, paper and fabric that oftentimes refer to the dynamic and fragile nature of our shared and personal experience, memory, and history." - Gisela Insuaste
