Laurie Hogin: Pathological Colours

This exhibit of new paintings by Laurie Hogin explores the qualities of color as a determinant of both class and function. Monkeys in toxic hues brandish bones as if they were scepters while portraits of infants as seraphim appear bemused. These images continue to show the viewer Hogin's long-held interest as painting as a site where visual language presents clues to the norms and conventions of society.
