LEAH TINARI
Leah Tinari takes pictures of her friends and family at parties, on vacation, preparing for major celebrations. These photographs become the source material for her paintings which unashamedly celebrate the rituals of adolescence and young adulthood. We see Leah belting one out at a karaoke bar, we see her sister preparing for her Junior Prom, we see her friends' faces flushed with excitement at a confetti strewn party, and we see our own histories filled with the same anxiety, awkwardness, exuberance and joy.
